The Team

Climb So iLL has assembled an elite team to accomplish the overall vision of the climbing gym.  The group’s collective experience will propel our concept to reality.  The project will be guided by the minds of the So iLL crew.

DANIEL AND DAVID CHANCELLOR:
Co-owners Daniel and David Chancellor will assume the rolls of Marketing Manager and Community Director respectively. The Chancellor brothers are professional rock climbers with over 25 years of combined climbing experience.  Together, they turned their passion for climbing into a successful business.  The brothers own and operate So iLL, Inc., a thriving company that designs, manufactures, and markets indoor climbing holds.  Competing in professional climbing competitions, appearing in international climbing films and magazines, and presenting slide shows are just a few aspects that have helped the Chancellor brothers gain their expertise in the climbing industry.

IAN ANDERSON:
Ian Anderson, Co-owner and Operations Manager, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.  Ian currently works as a climbing instructor and route setter at Saint Louis University’s indoor climbing facility.  Before founding Climb So iLL, Ian worked as the business manager and lead CAD designer for Adams Street Architectural Design, LLC, a St. Louis based architecture firm specializing in historic renovations and high-end residential design.  Ian has valuable knowledge of the climbing industry with over 12 years of climbing experience. 

JIM FETTERMAN:
Jim Fetterman is a registered landscape architect and Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.  With over 33 years of professional experience, Jim has focused his career on a broad range of domestic and international projects ranging from large-scale land use and master planning to detailed construction and implementation, particularly those landscape and site development projects that provide open space for public use, living, and recreation.

The wealth of Jim’s knowledge occurs during the conception and initiation of a project, where he specializes in aligning the goals and concepts of the project team.  As projects approach construction, Jim’s experience facilitates the execution of details and implementation of the project design.

Radical Partners

In addition to the Climb So iLL climbing gym, the Power Plant project will include two high-end restaurants and an upscale event space all with excellent views of the climbing gym.  Climb So iLL will benefit greatly from the synergistic tenant mix, with common branding and exposure to customers.  Multiple businesses in the same complex will solidify the Power Plant’s status as a premier urban destination.  Simply stated, the whole will be much greater than the sum of the individual parts.

These radical partners will work together to create crossover opportunities that will fuel success!

Letter of Intent

Negotiating the Letter of Intent has been a bit of a battle. The LOI outlines the basic agreement between the building owner and Climb So iLL before a formal lease is finalized. The document resembles a written contract but is not binding. The purpose of the LOI is to clarify the key points of the business deal and to declare officially that the parties are currently negotiating towards execution of a final binding lease. With the LOI behind us we are charging ahead!
